GUIDELINES FOR A SUSTAINABLE DESIGN STRATEGY FOR A MAGAZINE BRAND

The aim of this study is to develop a sustainable design strategy for Farmer’s Weekly magazine. As the print publication sector is experiencing a shift towards more digital platforms, a balance between the two platforms needs to be struck to secure the future of the magazine as a brand. This paper explores the print industry as it stands today, discusses the current methods used to secure the future of Farmer’s Weekly as a brand in the technological age, and suggests a plan to do so in future – taking into account all the challenges and opportunities of the digital medium.
